About TheyCare
Hi, I’m Olivia, founder of TheyCare, professional nanny, and lifelong champion of mums and caregivers. I'm London-based, Hampshire-raised, and for over 15 years, I’ve balanced two loves: caring for kids and connecting people to meaningful work.
Olivia
By day, I worked in corporate recruitment for companies such as Digital Fairy, BBC Studios and Pink News. By afternoon, I was doing the school run as a nanny. I’ve switched back and forth between these worlds more times than I can count – until one summer’s day in 2024, when it all finally clicked.
Between juggling interviews and packing the perfect post-school snack, I had my lightbulb moment: Why wasn’t I recruiting for the thing I cared most about?
Friends, colleagues, even strangers on the tube were constantly asking me:
“Do you know a good babysitter?”
“Can you help me find a nanny while we’re away?”
“Do you have someone amazing for after-school pick-ups?”
And the answer was always yes, because I know what good childcare looks like, and I wanted to help.
That’s what TheyCare is about.
We’re not some stuffy, old-school, Mary Poppins agency. We’re real people connecting real families with brilliant nannies - go-getters, side hustlers, and big-hearted women who understand what it means to show up and care.

At They Care, we:
Build a community of hardworking parents and tenacious nannies
Reward our members with £50 when they recommend a family or nanny
Kindness, communication, and care at the heart of everything we do
Over the years, I’ve looked after 57+ children (yes, really!) from a little village in Winchester to the beaches of Australia and the streets of Paris. Now, I’m building a business and still nannying part-time… so I get it. The chaos, the last-minute scrambles, the need for trust above all else.

Our Purpose
TheyCare was born to shake up the traditional nanny agency world. To create a space where mums and nannies can connect, grow, and support each other not just with childcare, but with friendship, mentorship, and a sense of purpose.
We offer purpose driven care.
Some of my closest friends started as mums I worked for. They've become mentors, career coaches, even co-creators.
I want every woman who joins our community to feel that same sense of connection and possibility.
We also believe in giving back.
That’s why I’ve partnered with Fight Forward – a CIC helping women overcome adversity and thrive through
the power of boxing. We donate 5% of profit from every booking to support their mission. It’s an initiative
I’m deeply proud to be part of.
